UC Jazz Fall Fundraiser 2008
UC Jazz invites students, alumni, parents and other jazz lovers to support our upcoming Fundraiser and Night of Jazz at Yoshi's on Monday, October 27, 2008 honoring Robert Cole, Director of Cal Performances and Student Musical Activities.
UC Jazz Ensembles will honor Robert Cole at its 2nd Annual Fall Fundraiser on Monday, October 27th at Yoshi's in Jack London Square, Oakland. Robert Cole has been a loyal supporter of UC Jazz Ensembles assuming leadership of Student Musical Activities in 1987 and we would like to thank him for his years of dedicated service at this event.
The evening will include a delicious pre-concert Japanese dinner, silent auction and two shows - one at 8 pm and one at 10 pm - featuring our advanced combos and big band. Proceeds from the event will support UC Jazz, the 40-year old student program dedicated to the performance, study and promotion of jazz at UC Berkeley.
Students, alumni, parents and other jazz lovers can support this fundraising event in honor of Robert Cole in the following ways:
- Become a Sponsor of the event, benefits include Dinner, two shows and a program mention
- Purchase a Dinner and Shows package
- Purchase a ticket to either or both the 8 pm and 10 pm shows
- Make a tax-deductible contribution to UC Jazz Ensembles in honor of Robert Cole
- Secure or donate an auction item for the Silent Auction
- Buy an Ad in the event program (with optional wording honoring Robert Cole)

Reservations for the dinner and shows can be made by phone with a credit card by October 19 by calling Carol Suveda at (510) 643-2662. You may also RSVP by mail with the invitation reply card at the UC Jazz website.
Online ticket sales will be available through October 26 at yoshis.com. Tickets to both shows will also be sold at Yoshi's the day and night of the event.
